Outlast Race Director (Longview TX)

💰 Full Time: Starting $50-70K/year salary + race growth incentive commissions, and pay guaranteed to increase as races grow.

Travel:
As an Outlast Race Director, you will travel up to 4–5 weeks at a time on tour, then return home for up to 8 weeks before heading out on your next journey. Race Directors travel in company trucks and trailers and may travel with a small, tight-knit crew depending on the size of the event.
Responsibilities:
Race Directors carry a lot of responsibility, especially during race weeks. You will oversee permits and event plans, event setup and tear-down, volunteer recruitment, participant experience and event success, timing operations, shirt and medal fulfillment, and many other logistical and operational tasks required to deliver a high-quality race experience.
Character:
A Race Director must carry high integrity, strong character, and sound judgment to successfully execute great events. You must be extremely hard-working, organized, intelligent, and personable, with a servant-leader mindset and a willingness to do whatever it takes to support the team and the athletes we serve.

Responsibilities:
This Event Development Coordinator role is responsible for expanding our event calendar by securing permits and approvals for endurance running events through proactive outreach to cities, parks, and private venues, building and maintaining strong venue relationships, and managing the full permitting process from application to approval. You will coordinate required documents such as insurance certificates, maps, and safety plans, track a pipeline of 20–40+ venues, follow up consistently to move approvals forward, and work closely with internal teams to lock in dates and requirements.
Character:
The Event Development Coordinator is a detail-oriented, relationship-driven role where success is measured by how efficiently new events are approved and added to the calendar. You must be a proactive, relationship-driven self-starter who is persistent, organized, and confident in communication. This position thrives on following through, handling details with precision, and staying steady and solution-focused when navigating challenges.
