The Eagles Beak Trail Race is a scenic trail run held at the Lake Guntersville State Park in the hills of Guntersville AL. Featuring over 6000 feet of elevation gain for the Marathon event, the race follows a 7K looped course. This race brings a memorable atmosphere, beautiful views and a challenge on the trails.
Course Overview
- Surface: Dirt single-track trail.
- Course: Lickskillet Trail, Meredith Trail, and Golf Course Loop
- Elevation: Lots of ups and downs climbing 1000ft every 7K loop.
- Location: Lake Guntersville State Park

Packet Pickup
Saturday - 7:00AM to 8:00AM near Start and Finish.
Participants will receive their Bib and Race T-Shirt at packet pickup.

Marathon Runners - Start time 8:00 AM
Half Marathon Runners - Start time 8:10 AM
7K Runners - Start time 8:20 AM
5:00 PM - Race Cutoff
Race
Marathon Runners - Six loops
Runners will run a total of 26 miles. The elevation gain is over 6000ft of climbing with over 6000ft in descending. Aid station will be available at the end of each loop.
Half Marathon Runners - Three loops
Runners will run a total of 13 miles. The elevation gain is over 3000ft of climbing with over 3000ft in descending. Aid station will be available at the end of each loop.
14K Runners - Two loop
Runners will run a total of 8.68 miles. The elevation gain is over 2000ft of climbing with over 2000ft in descending. Aid station will be available at the end of each loop.
7K Runners - One loop
Runners will run a total of 4.34 miles. The elevation gain is over 1000ft of climbing with over 1000ft in descending. Aid station will be available at the end of each loop.
Each runner will receive an Eagle's Beak Trail Race Classic shirt, a truly memorable trail experience, and an overall good time with new people and new stories to share. Following your finish, you will receive a medal for the distance that you completed. Each distance will have a top male and a top female award. This year we are making the DFL award addition........ in other words, "Dead Freakin' Last".

Trail Markers
We will use orange ties and signs to mark the course. Signs with arrows will be used to show which trail to run on and ties will be used to let you know you're on the right path.
Aid Station
There will be one main aid station.
Main Aid Station (Start/Finish Area)
The main aid station will be manned by a few volunteers and will have water, pickle juice, bananas, oranges, PB&Js, and other various salty, sweet, and savory snacks. We will have our first aid located at the main tent.
