"We didn't want this to be like anyone else's race, we wanted it to be unique. In Texas... everything is bigger - So we made the distance for the last man standing bigger. This does make it harder, but that's the point. We just wanted this race to be original, tougher, and not like anyone else's."

Travel Information:
If you're traveling out of town you can choose to tent camp or stay in a cabin at the Walnut Creel Resort.

The Backland is the biggest last man standing trail race near the Texas and Oklahoma border. This race is run on majority trail with a bit of road. The Backland was crafted to see how far you can really push yourself.
